La bandera esta conformada por cinco franjas horizontales, verde en la parte superior, amarillo en la parte media y blanca en la parte inferior y dos franjas negras, una por encima y otra por debajo de la franja amarilla. Las proporción de la bandera es 21 por 13. La proporción entre las franjas es 180:1:16:1:64. Las figuras (de colour negro), sus posiciones y dimensiones son las siguientes: La primera de ellas está situada en la parte superior izquierda de la bandera, justo en la franja verde, representa un guerrero indígena dispuesto en una posición de tiro con un arco hacia arriba. Mide 29 cm de largo por 23 cm de alto. La segunda está situado en la parte superior derecha, también en la franja verde, representa a un jaguar saltando en dirección a la flecha. Mide 37 cm de largo por 15 cm de alto. La última es una estrella de cinco puntas que se encuentra en la franja amarilla justo debajo de la del jaguar, y representa a la ciudad de Leticia. Mide 20 cm de largo por 15 cm de alto.
