Summary

Description
English: A typical military sign from the Ottoman Empire known as "arma" (this Homeric Greek expression itself reflects to a symbol adopted under influence from abroad) in Turkish army (infantry) and displayed on the reverse side of the battalion banners (military colours) of European style introduced after Nizami-Jedid reforms. (It is not the State coat of arms of the Ottoman Empire, as the Empire did not use any)
