Deutsch: Karausche, Carassius carassius, circa sechs Monate alt; Länge: 7 cm; aus Haarlem, Niederlande. Der Augenfleck an der Schwanzwurzel verblasst etwas. Sichtbare Merkmale: 33 Schuppen entlang der Seitenlinie, Form der Dorsale (Rückenflosse) und der Caudale (Schwanzflosse); Körperbau: seitlich abgeflacht und hochrückig; Färbung: bronze, paarige Flossen leicht rötlich.
English: Crucian carp, around 6 months old, 7 cm, from Haarlem, the Netherlands. The eyespot at the base of the tail is fading a little.

Observable traits: 33 scales along lateral line, form of dorsal and tail fin (little indentation), body shape high and flat, snout rounded with somewhat upward pointed mouth, colour bronze yellow, abdominal and pectoral fins little reddish.

Nederlands: Kroeskarper crica 6 maanden oud , 7 cm uit Haarlem. De oogvlek bij de basis van de staart begint te vervagen. Zichtbare kenmerken: 33 schubben langs zijlijn, vorm van de rugvin en staartvin (niet hol of ingesneden), De snuit is rond en de bek wijst wat omhoog. De kleur goudbrons, en de buikvinnen en borstvinnen wat roodgekleurd.
